Linden Endowment for the Arts, or LEA™

“Linden Endowment for the Arts has granted RJ Kikuchiyo a 3-month residency in LEA2, where an “Open Studio” retrospective of work from 2006-2016 will be open to the public.
Also on site is the Bauhaus Museum and collected works by Steadman Kondor, of 1920s Berlin”

Linden Labs™, the makers of Second Life™, have recently awarded RJ Kikuchiyo a sim for 3 months as part of the Linden Endowment for the Arts program. I’ll be using this space as an ‘open studio’ kind of environment, accessing my inventory to exhibit virtual model environments from previous projects.

Gallery: Foundation for Safe Boating T&T program photos

IMG_4797Over 30 Days at Sea. More than 25 Participants. The Foundation for Safe Boating and Marine Information has sponsored an on-the-water education program dedicated to introducing the residents of the local area to their marine environment. This year the topics included marlinspike seamanship skill building, navigation and chart plotting basics, and whale watching / marine biology basics during the 4-hour cruises aboard the Foundation’s vessels. On land, pre- and post- boating season, the mission continues with education for the public with respect to our local waters, being good samaritans and custodians to the coast.

Below are just some of the sights from the season of Teach and Take a Kid daysails. The boats used were Sonar 23′ keelboats, and a Hunter 31′ cruising sloop. For more information about the 2015 season plans and how you can get involved, visit the FSB Website.

The following snapshots were taken in the Knaptrackicon Channel region of Second Life. It’s a long term prim preserve and seaway maintenance project. Many thanks to Elbag Gable and Jane Fosset, as well as the Day to Day operations crew at Danshire Yacht Club and SLCG Station Danshire. BZs all around!
